FG Bans SS3 Admission and Transfers

The Federal Government has announced a ban on the admission and transfer of students into Senior Secondary School Three (SS3) across both public and private secondary schools in Nigeria.

According to the directive, the decision is aimed at maintaining academic stability and ensuring students adequately prepare for their final external examinations. Education authorities explained that admitting or transferring students at such a critical stage often disrupts learning and affects examination integrity.

School owners and administrators have been advised to strictly comply with the new rule, as monitoring and enforcement measures will be put in place. Parents and guardians are also urged to ensure that wards are properly enrolled before reaching the final year of secondary education.

This policy takes immediate effect nationwide.
